Dear Dallas County Citizens:

It has been my pleasure to serve as Judge of the 305th District Court since 1995.  Since that time I have served not only in the Courtroom but have worked tirelessly in the community to help families find solutions and navigate through some of the toughest challenges they will ever face – raising youth in this present day.

I recognized many years ago that there must be a balanced approach to justice.  That means making the hard decisions when necessary but also helping families to become whole and healthy keeping them out of the justice system if possible and if not, exiting the system better and stronger.

I have been humbled by the tremendous support I have received over these many years from private citizens, attorneys and elected officials.

We’ve accomplished much, but my work as a Judge and serving this community is not yet finished.  The most recent accomplishment is the launching of E.S.T.E.E.M. Court (Experiencing Success through Encouragement, Empowerment, and Mentoring).  E.S.T.E.E.M. Court is a Diversionary Girls’ Court addressing the needs of High Risk Victims.  It is currently the only Court of its kind in the Country and once again places Dallas County on the cutting edge of Juvenile Justice.  Presiding over this Diversionary Court has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my Judicial Career.

There is still much work to be done to improve the Juvenile Justice system.  I ask for your continued support so that I might press forward with this work.  You can help my campaign for reelection in 2018 by becoming a volunteer, ordering a yard sign, or making a contribution during the time frame allowed by law.  Most of all, you can help by continuing to vote for me and encouraging others to do the same.  With your help, I look forward to continued service as your Judge of the 305th District Court.
